The Otty Lake Invitational is labelled as the true test of the DGA. This was the inaugural event, first taking place in 2016.
The event is split over 2 days, and 3 rounds. Day 1 consists of 36 holes at Mapleview Golf and Country Club, rated #3 in Golf Canada’s rankings. The second, and even more grueling day, is played at the hardest course in North America: Perth Golf Course.
Not only known for their Chicken Wraps at the turn, the Perth Golf Course actually boasts the country’s oldest 9 holes. The front 9 of Perth was built in 1890 and is one of the hardest in the area, demanding accurate tee shots, and long irons into greens.
The perfect recipe for success is a Saturday night filled with beer, 2hrs of sleep, and 3 pukes.
